2025 has come to an end, marking another year of impactful rewilding driven by our community.
Over the course of the year, we raised over €1.8M in community funding to support 12 rewilding missions across Africa, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas. From protecting endangered animals and restoring forests to cleaning polluted rivers and tackling ocean plastic, we helped fund impactful ideas all around the world.
Together, we supported projects that protect critical habitats, empower Indigenous communities, restore degraded ecosystems, and safeguard vulnerable species, on land and in the ocean. If you haven’t yet, check out Markus’ end of year message to our members to get a visual idea, too.
We started 2025 with 11,000 members, and by the end of the year, our community had grown to over 18,000. With every new member joining Planet Wild, our missions grew in scale, reach, and ambition.
Beyond funding missions, our storytelling continued to spread the message of rewilding far beyond our community. In 2025, our mission videos generated 15M+ views (▲36% from 2024) on YouTube, amplifying the work of our partners and inspiring millions to care about nature protection.

Every Planet Wild member can vote in our app (App Store / Play Store) how we allocate the collected funds. We received a total of 5925 votes. Here are the results:
In 2025, we made a deliberate decision to significantly increase funding for the Indigenous forest guards of the Xingu territory (M29). This led to a higher allocation for the Forests category than originally planned. It was a choice driven by both the urgency of the situation and our belief that it was the most impactful use of our community’s funds.
