2023 is over. And all together we raised over € 130,000 for 10 rewilding missions in 7 countries. And it made a huge difference!
Our community helped bring back five endangered animal species, revive three forest ecosystems, clean up a marine habitat, and rewild a river.
It all started in March with the European bison and 12 supporters. At the end of the year, our community had grown to 2,000 amazing supporters, and our missions have since gotten bigger every month.
Time to look back at the numbers for 2023:
Every Planet Wild member gets to vote on how we spend the collected funds through our app (App Store / Play Store). In 2023 we received a total of 1361 votes. Here are the results:
We aligned our funding strategy as good as possible with the result of the community vote, but since we launched Planet Wild in March, the year only saw ten missions in total. This led to the animal category being a bit over represented due to one forest and one ocean mission missing. So let’s look at how we invested throughout those ten missions in 2023:
